My name is Julie Lewandowski. I have been teaching at South Seneca Middle School for the past 11 years. I am a Direct Consultant Special Education Teacher for 8th grade. Therefore, I will be pushing into eighth grade core classes working alongside content teachers as well as working with students in a smaller classroom setting for Resource Room to further develpp their skills. I am also an 8th grade Home Base Teacher and will be working with students during WIN "What I Need" Time to develop their academic, social-emotional, and management skills. We will also work together to develop their executive functioning skills in terms of organization, time management and self advocacy skills along with setting goals.
I grew up in Spencerport, just outside of Rochester. I graduated with a degree in Adolescent Education Social Studies and a Minor in Psychology from SUNY Oswego. I also received my Masters in Special Education at Roberts Wesleyan College. After teaching around the Rochester area for many years I found my home at South Seneca Central School District & haven't looked back.
